Principle twenty-four  Lust hinders road.

 

A-Buddha said, ‘ A person does not follow fondness or desire, and does not reform it (愛欲莫甚). In the face of the physical body (於色), person shall know that the physical body always produces desire of fondness. If a persona follows physical body desire or lust which its harmful is very heavy, that other kinds of harm can not be in the same class (其大無外); if a persona has wish that whose will hopes following physical body (賴有一矣), when the persona makes one’s will to follow physical body (若使二同), then always follows it (普), even though the persona has inherence and human body to live in human life (天之人), the persona cannot effectuate buddhi way.
If a person knowing the harm from physical body is very heavy, and other harm cannot compare with physical body (其大無外); and then the person knows where he fell down then he stands up (無外), and person knows that from instincts has volition and action (賴), person wants to exceed the harm from body, or to issue buddhi vow or to exceed affliction forever (賴有一矣); when the person leads one’s volition accord with instincts and buddhi vow-deed (若使二同), that the whole world’s confluence, in one’s mind (普天之人) is at effectuating Nil-glibness (無能) to fulfill buddhi way, to fulfill buddhi way forever (矣).’.
